Bastyr University is one of the world’s leading academic centers in the natural health arts and sciences. The Bastyr University Student Housing Village is designed to minimize impact to the environment and fit into the campus’ natural setting. The village consists of 11 cottages of approximately 4,600 SF each. A typical three-story cottage has a separate bedroom and bath for twelve students, and a communal living area consisting of a living room/kitchen great room, a separate dining area that can also be used for quiet study, and laundry facilities. The cottages are connected by walkways, with drought-tolerant and native landscaping and
kitchen garden areas. The project is currently seeking a minimum LEED Gold certification.
