Main House: 2,032 SF, Garage & Apartment: 704 SF, Total: 2,736 SF
Project Synopsis:
The San Juan Channel House is the first home for a young family. It was also a focused, cohesive team effort to create the firm’s first design|build|develop project on a moderate budget, and to make it the most sustainable project possible. The house serves as a catalyst for future projects. In encouraging clients to embrace green building, the design principal can attest to the efficiencies of the building and mechanical systems, the durability of the green materials, and the practicality of using local and salvaged materials. This was an opportunity for the firm to show that green building can and does work in the real world.
